It’s ridiculous, it sends a terrible message about respecting food, but it’s--we have to admit it--pretty darn fun. Poor Chef Alfredo is just trying to do his job, bringing diners platters of food. But somehow he manages to get caught in the midst of a wild food fight. What a mess! Note to parents: surprise! It’s really not a mess. The far-flung spaghetti and meatballs are actually wads of fabric with yarn, so no need to break out the stain remover. Unless, of course, this game inspires real food fights come dinnertime. Best not to serve spaghetti and meatballs within a few days of playing.

Anyway, back to the game: players use forks to fling spaghetti and meatballs at the spinning chef figure--more specifically, at the Velcro plates he holds in each hand. The player with the most direct hits wins. Sigh. Only in America. Game includes one motorized spaghetti plate, one chef, four forks and four napkins (bases), 12 soft, safe meatballs with trailing spaghetti, and instructions. For two to four players. Requires two AA batteries (not included). (Ages 5 to 8). --Emilie Coulter Chef Alfredo is caught in the middle of a food fight!
